This malbec offers a very good red color with violet tones. On the nose it expresses great complexity and thrilling minerality, showing aromas of graphite, tobacco, chocolate, red fruit and spices like clove and pepper. On the palate it is unctuous and velvety; with sweet tannins.
This lot has very deep soils, with predominance of loam and clay texture. There is also sand, improving significantly the drainage.
Winter began dry, without any major climatic events. November and December saw some hail, but no damage was reported. Spring presented very good temperature variation and, at the time of flowering, weather conditions were perfect, allowing the flowers to develop fully.
Lujan de Cuyo is situated at high elevation 991-1,057 meters with a semi-desert climate.
